My name is Larnelle Bakala but in the creative space, I’m known as Lordnelle. I’m a photographer and film director originally from the heart of the DRC, Congo, and currently based in Cape Town, South Africa.

In the Congo DRC, we dress like we’re telling stories, loud, proud, layered in meaning. That same spirit lives in every frame I direct or shoot. My roots taught me that style is a language, and I’ve turned that language into a visual signature. A way of seeing the world.
